Winter's Warmth

In the hush of frosted evenings,
Under the quilt of snow-white peace,
There lies a warmth, unseen, unfelt,
By those who haste, who seldom cease.

But pause a while, midst winter’s chill,
And you shall find, beneath the still,
A tender warmth that whispers low,
Of ember glows in hearth's soft glow.

It’s not the fire alone that warms,
But hands entwined, away from storms,
The laughter shared, the stories told,
Within these moments, love takes hold.

So when the world seems lost to frost,
And paths with icy patches crossed,
Remember then, the warmth within,
The love, the joy, life’s violin.

For winter’s cold brings people close,
In ways that summer scarcely knows.
In every flake, a chance to find,
The warmth of hearts, forever twined.
