Past in Perspectives

Through the lens of now, we gaze,
Into the depths of yesteryear's haze.
Each moment, a thread in time's vast weave,
A tapestry of what we choose to believe.

Shadows stretch, embracing light,
In the dance of day and the peace of night.
Where joy and sorrow in silence meet,
A balance struck, bittersweet.

Paths diverge in the woods of fate,
Each step forward, a chance to create.
What's gone before, a guide, not a chain,
Lessons learned in joy and in pain.

Look not behind in fear or regret,
Our suns set only to rise again, and yet,
In every ending, a beginning lies,
A chance to grow wise beneath open skies.

So we weave with threads of now and then,
Our tapestry, rich with the 'what has been.'
Embracing the contrast, the dark and the light,
Finding peace in the day, hope in the night.
